Busy Busy at Flix central

It’s been so busy, we haven’t had time to update our news page.

Over the past couple of months we’ve produced and delivered films for a range of clients, including NHS Improving Quality, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Metro Centre, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, and our key drama for Skills for Care – ‘It Helps to Talk’.

Along with ‘It Helps to Talk’ we also produced a creative new piece that will be part of the same training initiative – ‘Understanding Roles’ – which touches on the functions of some of the key social and health roles involved in delivering End of Life Care, as well as how they need to work together. It also talks about the person receiving care and their primary carer (often a family member) – and what they need from those services to be able to have the best care experience.

Skills for Care launched the package, along with both films, at an event in London on 16th October, and the feedback from all those in attendance was truly overwhelming. We’re very proud of both these films, and can’t wait to see them out in the community, making a real difference for those receiving care, and those delivering it.

As for what’s ahead?

You’d think with Christmas fast approaching things might be slowing down, but we’re still flat to the boards, with an exciting new project for Quaker Social Action in the last stage of pre production, a new film and a couple of other projects under way with Trinity Hospice, and new work in early development for the New Year.

We can’t wait to see what comes next!
